Vote out incompetent leaders in 2027, PDP stalwart tells protesters

Ahead the 2027 general elections, a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in Awka, Hon. Obiora Anichebe Oko, has charged Nigerians to effectively use their votes to end bad governance, hunger, corruption and abysmal poverty in Nigeria.

Hon.Oko gave the charge during an interactive session with journalists.

He commended the people of the  South-East geopolitical zone for displaying high sense of maturity in the on-going hunger protest by toeing the path of peace and dialogue for sake of the country and Nigerian masses.

Hon Oko reminded the protesters that protest cannot solve the unabated problems of the country, noting that it would rather drag the ountry back to her horrendous harrowing past years.

He vehemently enjoined Nigerians to support the Ahmed Bola Tinubu government to finish his first four years in office and use their votes to vote him out come the 2027 general elections, if they feel he is not worthy of second tenure.

The PDP stalwart added that the ongoing protest would not do the nation any good, as he urged Nigerians, especially the protesters to heed to the pleas of Mr. President and his team.

Oko who pointed out that the lingering chronic bad governance in the country is affecting both the young and the old, however, thanked the people of the South-East geopolitical zone, for their unrelenting and collective support to President Tinubu, hence their total abstinence from the protest.

He  further made it very clear for those who are still casting doubt about the incubent president, said that Tinubu is the president of the Nigeria today, stating that the reason behind the Igbo’s unflinching support to his leadership and total  abstinence from the hunger protest was to enhance mutual coexistence of the country.
