A 36-year-old man, Ejekwu Joseph Odira, has been declared missing by his family members in Ukpor, Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Elder brother to the victim, Mr. Chijioke Ejekwu who broke the sad news to reporters, said the victim (popularly known as World Best) got missing shortly after receiving call from a certain number.
He said, “Immediately he finished answering the call, he informed his family that he was going to Nnewi, but never returned till date.
“He left the house on Tuesday, July 9, about 1.pm after answering the call without specifically telling anyone which part of Nnewi he was going to.
“Some persons who know him later confirmed they saw and exchanged greetings with him at Nnewi that same day shortly after he left house.
“His two phone numbers (08161131513 and 07066799871) became switched off at about 2.30pm that day when all the family members started calling him to inquire about his whereabouts but all the numbers have remained off since then.”
Ejekwu however said they were yet to make formal entry of the matter at the Police station, but hinted that they had visited various police stations in Nnewi North and its environs in seach for him.
“We have concluded arrangements to lodge an official entry at the police on Tuesday, July 16,” he added.
Ejekwu further lamented that the disappearance of the victim, a land agent and drinks dealer, from Agbuana village in Ukpor, with five young children, had thrown the entire family members into mourning.
“His children, wife and entire family members have been missing him, praying and wishing to see him return home alive and safe.
