Anambra State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh has said that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has provided education without difficulties for the people of the State.
Speaking on impact of Soludo’s policies in education, Chuma-Udeh disclosed that the rate of school dropout has reduced from 32.4 percent, met by the current administration in 2021 to 15.2 percent in 2022.
She said the rate was further dropped in 2023 to 2.9 percent with the declaration of free education in the State.
The Commissioner attributed the feat to employment of 5000 teachers and declaration of free education by the current administration.
She further revealed that teachers’ recruitment ended era of schools without teachers, while the free education declaration made Anambra destination for aquisition of education without hassles in the Southeast.
“Employment of 5000 teachers by the current administration has reduced the school dropout rate from 32.4 percent, met in 2021 to 15.2 percent in 2022.
“The rate was further dropped in 2023 to 2.9 percent with the declaration of free education in the State.
“While the employment of teachers brought to an end the era of schools without teachers, the free education declaration made Anambra State a destination for aquisition of education without hassles in the South East,” she added.
Chuma-Udeh further explained that the levies were summarily abolished thereby bringing education to the door steps of every individual in the State.
