Anambra State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake has praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s efforts towards ensuring a prosperous Anambra.
The Commissioner who scored the Governor over 85 percent so far, thanked him for his inclusive approach to governance, enjoining Ndị Anambra to explore importance of citizen’s engagement through open government partnership.
The governor who celebrated his two years in office on March 17th, 2024 received unmitigated accolade from the residents of the State based on the feats achieved through his leadership prowess.
Addressing newsmen in Awka, Nnake listed several achievements under Soludo’s economic blue print since assumption of office to include security, infrastructural development, social investment and environmental sustainability while digitizing and automating the budget system and implementing social protection policy.
She disclosed that the governor has completed 240 kilometers of roads out of 400 roads awarded, hintig that he would focus on road dualization, new industrial cities, and a transportation system as his developmental roadmap.
Commending Governor Soludo’s administration for creating over 4,000 jobs through “one youth two skills” program in the state, the commissioner said agricultural seedlings were shared to households to alleviate poverty.
On health care, Nnake said the Governor has expanded access to healthcare by recruiting more professionals, building hospitals of global standard and providing free quality antenatal and delivery service to women.
She further emphasized that government was doing more with less, judging from nation’s current economic situation to ensure citizens enjoy dividend of democracy, assuring Ndị Anambra that Soludo’s financial prudence ensured meagre funds were used for essential services and long-term sustainability in line with the Vision 2070 plan.
“The governor scored high on infrastructural and human capital development within his two years in office. Ndị Anambra should explore importance of citizen’s engagement through open government partnership, insisting Governor Soludo deserves supports for continuity.
