Obi made the commendation in Awka while addressing members of Correspondents Chapel of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council.

The former governor of Anambra State who was represented by his media aide, Mr Val Obienyem challenged the journalists not to relent in playing their roles despite all odds especially in such trying times.

Responding, Correspondents Chapel Chairman, Chief Chuks Ilozue, commended the LP national leader for his demonstrable commitment in the affairs of his members and journalists in the state.

He praised the cordial working relationship existing between his members and the Obi government, assuring sustenance of that cordiality.

Amongst the highlights of the meeting were strategic decisions on how to go about reporting the state responsibly, especially as the 2025 governorship election in the state approaches.
