The People’s Democratic Party(PDP) Anambra State said it has concluded plans to begin activities geared towards the repositioning of the party in Anambra State.
The PDP plan was contained in a press statement signed by the Anambra State Publicity Secretary of the party, Promise Okongwu made available to journalists yesterday.
Okongwu called on eminent Ndi Anambra to get ready to move with the party of the moment.
The statement read, “The party which reached her resolutions of what is termed as the “Reuniting, Reigniting And Repositioning Of The PDP” in Anambra State at her 1st / Inaugural meeting of the State Caretaker Committee (ASCC) at the PDP state Secretariat in Udoka Housing Estate, Awka, the state capital city, therefore called on her teaming members to keep her ears on the ground with our emergence as the State Executives of PDP in our beloved state.
“In the same vein, the People’s Democratic Party in Anambra State hails the resilience of our dear dedicated supporters and party members, who despite the non state executive structure which is now a past tense, has remained eagerly hopeful and committed to the ideals of the PDP and the visions of it’s founding fathers which includes Ide Oko, Sir. Alex Ekwueme of blessed memory.
“The resilience of our teaming supporters who have stayed put and committed has further affirmed that the people of Anambra knows their original political party and can never abandon her own due to personal interest or petty sentiments.
“The party further encourages our esteemed members to remain steadfast and be alarmed to cue behind the fast moving vehicle of the new State Working Committee with her numerous programs geared towards achieving a united front for the PDP in Anambra State.
“The party equally affirms her willingness to address various lingering issues / grievances amongst her teaming members which has caused problems within the party in time past, whilst also calling on all critical stakeholders in the party at all levels to make moves that drives reconciliation and also provide rooms for a united opposition/alternative party to Ndi Anambra to join and be comfortable.”
