The Anambra State ICT Agency has revealed that it’s Managing Director, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, CFA, has been invited as the keynote speaker at the upcoming Final/Award Ceremony of Bossladylaw Business Challenge (BBC).
The event, in collaboration with the Anambra State Ministry of Education and Integrated Youth Empowerment Development Strategies (IYEDS), is slated for Friday, September 29th, 2023 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University ASUU Hall, Awka.
The MD would deliver a keynote speech titled “The Impact of Digital Technology on Youth Entrepreneurship and Economic Growth” under the broad theme, “The Road to Global Economic Growth Through Entrepreneurship Development Among Our Youth,”.
According to the Anambra ICT Agency’s Public Relations Officer, Nwanodu Angela, the event is targeted at providing a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to showcase their talents, exchange ideas, and gain valuable insights from experienced professionals in the field of Tech.
“Bossladylaw Business Challenge, which uses the acronym BBC, is an initiative that resonates deeply with our Agency’s vision.
“It is a secondary school extracurricular program in its first year with the mission of advancing entrepreneurial education and community service learning among secondary school students, nurturing ethical business practices, social responsibility, civic engagement, and environmental consciousness.
“The program underscores direct support to the underprivileged, mirroring microcredit principles, all without government intervention.
“The 2023 BBC event commenced with a knockout stage that spanned all educational zones within Anambra State namely, Awka, Nnewi, Aguata, Otuocha, Idemili, and Onitsha, encompassing a total of 285 schools, including the Special needs school in Awka.
“From these competing zones, twelve school teams have emerged as qualifiers, each representing their respective zones, who are now competing for a chance to win a grand prize of ₦5 million cash, university scholarships, and an enlightening one-week education tour abroad.
“Even the special needs schools were not left out in this laudable endeavor, as a dedicated team from a special needs school will have the opportunity to win a grand prize of three million naira (₦3,000,000.00), along with a host of other awards that will be presented that day.
“Much like BBC, the Anambra State ICT Agency Boss, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata firmly believes in the untapped potential of our youth, a potential that not only benefits them but also enriches the lives of adults within their communities, hence underscoring his participation as a guest speaker at this prestigious event, one that will undoubtedly serve as a beacon of inspiration to the BBC participants, enriching their overall experience.
“As a renowned tech enthusiast, Agbata’s presence and the knowledge and insights he will share are sure to catalyze an incubator that fosters a generation of young entrepreneurs who see their communities and the world as their shared responsibilities.”
