Liverpool manager should be worried for team’s tendency to concede goals – Michael Owen

Liverpool legend, Michael Owen has opined that manager, Jurgen Klopp will have ‘slight concerns’ following his team’s Europa League 3-1 win over LASK on Thursday.

Liverpool were forced to come from behind against LASK at Raiffeisen Arena to win for the fourth time this season.

Florian Flecker gave the host the lead in the first half but Darwin Nunez drew the visitors level from the penalty spot in the second half, before Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah struck to ensure Liverpool began the Europa League with a victory.

Flecker’s brilliant strike against Liverpool meant Klopp’s side had fallen behind in four of their last five matches.

Owen suggested that Klopp will be concerned by Liverpool’s tendency to fall behind despite recovering from setbacks to win matches against Bournemouth, Newcastle, Wolves and now LASK.

Owen said. “He will probably be looking at it like why has that happened. Is it a coincidence or is it happening too much to draw some conclusions from it?

“But the overriding feeling would be a bit of relief. It is a great first result getting three points away from home and you are in a really good position. He will be delighted, but a little concerns about why it is happening all the time.

“But it is some character to keep coming back and go on and win.”

Liverpool will now turn their attention to the Premier League this weekend.

The Reds will host West Ham United at Anfield on Sunday, with the visitors having also been in Europa League action on Thursday.
