Former Manchester United (Man U) defender, Gary Neville has lavished praise on Arsenal captain, Martin Odegaard, following their 1-0 win at Everton on Sunday.
Leandro Trossard grabbed the winner at Goodison Park with 20 minutes left.
Odegaard put in a fine display in midfield, as the Gunners dominated their hosts for most of the game.
Neville, speaking after the game, said the Norwegian would be Pep Guadiola’s first pick at Manchester City, if he were able to recruit one player from his title rivals.
“Odegaard, I’m not saying he’s as good as De Bruyne or Silva yet, I think he’s got a bit to go in his career, but he’s getting to a point where when I watch him play, it is so smooth, it’s so silky.
“I knew he was always a talented player but we’re now talking about something that is very different and just so talented, this is real class.
Pep Guardiola, if he could take one Arsenal player out of this Arsenal team, I think he’d take him in an absolute heartbeat.” he said.
