Itsekiri Nation seeks God intervention

The Itsekiri nation seeks God intervention to contain the spat of corruption riddling its oil communities.

It held at interdenominational service  to  declare wrath of God on her  enemies   

The Itsekiri sons and daughters who gathered in their numbers at Delta State Oil Producing Areas Commission (DESOPADEC), Warri on Saturday 9 September to seeking divine intervention on the worsening socio-economic situation in its oil rich communities.

The  presiding minister,Pastor  Charles Oyibo who took his sermon from the book of Psalm 89′;20, Prov,10:2,  titled, “What Manner of King is this? ‘”said the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III is a unique king given to the Itsekiri nation by God himself and as such, God is with him and anyone who tampers with him or tries to harm him will get the wrath of God. 

According to him, God revealed to him most of the the issues happening in the kingdom some years ago while preparing for an occasion like this.

Pastor Oyibo said, God has made a choice in Ogiame Atuwatse III to liberate the people and no one can stop him. He stressed that, any enemy of the king and of Itsekiri nation who refused to repent will face Gods judgement and wrath which is death while saying,the  time has come for Itsekiri nation to possess their possessions just like the other tribes in Delta.

Bishop Alero Okorodudu also led a prayer of atonement for the Itsekiri nation while she declared peace and unity into the land of Warri. 

In the same vein, Bishop Tseye Okotie who was represented by Elder Henry Omatgbitse said what is going on in Iwere land has been ordained and as such, the time has come for the Itsekiris to possess their possessions saying, no one wish for death of any one in the land and whoever repents should be forgiven for unity to thrive in the land.

Prayers were led for Delta communities and Nigeria by Bishop Tseye Okotie 

The highlight of the occasion was the prayers made for the King, Ogiame Atuwatse III, his chiefs, leaders of the Itsekiri nation and  declaration of  independence, peace unity and development in the land of Warri while  prayers against the old order by Pastor Charles Oyibo was made by the Itsekiri Nation 

Amongst those present were the Edegbe of Warri kingdom, Chief Francis Omatsheye, Chief Kent Omatsone, Chief Olley and Chief Omolubi Nenewumi

It would be recalled that the Itsekiri women blocked  the entrance of DESOPADEC office  Warri with  Catafalque on Thursday September 7 2023, while other sons and daughters of the Itsekiri nation took their protest to  the Nigeria Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulation Commission, Warri,( NNPC )Zonal office .
