Seadogs offers scholarships to best students in Onitsha school

The National Association of Seadogs Onitsha Chapter, Anambra State has awarded scholarship to the best academic students of Washington Memorial Grammar School Onitsha.

Presenting the cheque to the School principal on Friday, Public Relation Officer of NAS Onitsha Chapter, Chief Ezennia Chukwudebelu stated that the scholarship covered tution and WAEC fees for the Best Academic Students in SSS2 and SSS3.

Chukwudebelu, flanked by immediate past president of the association Mr Benjamin Agbala added that the scholarship would run till graduation of the beneficiaries from the school.

He said, “This is what we do periodically to assist the less privilege but intelligent students to achieve their life ambition.

“Our Organzatnal goal is embedded in the phrase’ SERVICE TO HUMANITY. The joy of their parents will know no bound when they discover they have been relieved of heavy financial burden through this award.”

Responding, Principal of the School, Mrs Nkechi Nkem expressed gratitude to Seadogs for remembering the school, especially during such difficult period.

The association had donated science books and equipment to the school early this year.
