Soludo Solution Movement (SSM) has blamed the former governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi for deplorable condition of roads in the state.
The Convener of the group, Chief Jude Umunnakwe stated this while briefing the press after meeting of National Working Committee (NWC) of the group.
Chief Umunnakwe said as a matter of fact that none of the roads built by the former governor in his eight years administration is still intact, he noted that the roads built by the administration of Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the last general elections cannot be rehabilitated but reconstructed.
He pointed out that SSM has visited all the political wards in the state and discovered that the only few roads that are still manageable are the ones built by Dr Chris Ngige.
Chief Umunnakwe said that his group has commenced working visit to all the sites where the incumbent governor is working.
The purpose of the visit according to him is to send feedback to the people and also sensitize them to monitor ongoing government projects in their localities.
“There are many projects that have been flagged off in almost every part of the state, yet a whole lot of people are not aware of this developmental stride of the administration of Gov Soludo.
“We want to mobilize the people in every part of the state to take ownership of the ongoing projects in their areas, of course we cannot do that effectively without going ahead to visit the project sites first as a group.” Chief Umunnakwe explained.
He appealed to Ndi-Anambra to be patient as the administration of the day is poised to give them a new lease of life to them through a responsive and responsible governance.
