Group tasks Tinubu, Akpabio on inclusive leadership

Group known as Orji Uzor Kalu (OUK) Grassroots Movement has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senate President Godswill Akpabio to ensure inclusive leadership that accords all stakeholders including those at the grassroots level a sense of belonging to the system of things in the country. 

The Convener and national leader of the group Alhaji Muritala Mohammed alias ten ten who made the call in an interview with foreign newsmen when he travelled to Mecca, told President Tinubu and Akpabio that stakeholders like former Governor of Abia State Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has to be fully carried along in the national affairs particularly in the National Assembly and in the All Progressive Congress (APC) as the ruling party.

He described the former Abia Governor as an asset to the National Assembly and the party who cannot be sidelined in the scheme of things going by his vast experience and capacity as an ex two term governor and ranking member of the Senate noting that the Movement is a political structure built singlehandedly by Kalu to boost the grassroots strength of APC nationwide. 

“What I am saying is that, our principal Senator Orji Uzor Kalu should be at center of affairs and not be relegated to the back seat both in the National Assembly and in APC because he has made tangible contributions to the growth of APC and with the Movement on ground he will continue to add more strength to the grassroots progress of the party nationwide’ he added

He however warned that the Movement will pull out of APC to.join another political party if their principal is not carried along inline with their expectations noting that the Movement is being wooed by other political parties with good offers.
