Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Anambra State Command has ordered the deployment of 767 officers and men across the state in preparation for hitch free Eid-El Kabir celebration.
State Commandant, Mr. Edwin Osuala said the deployment of adequate human and material resources was targeted at fortifying security across the state before, during and after the celebration.
He said the 767 officers and men across the state would work in synergy with other Security Agencies to intensify the existing proactive, visibility and confidence building policing strategies already emplace in the state.
“More so, Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and heads of Operational Units are to deploy all operational resources at their disposal to strategic places spanning the length and breadth of the state including places of worship, markets, receational centres and other Critical Public infrastructure to forestall any attack,” he said.
Osuala emphatically direct all Area Commanders and Divisional Officers to supervise their subordinates and ensure they demonstrate professionalism and civility in the discharge of duties in line with Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Audi determination to irrevocably commit to upholding the tenets of the rule of law stressing that the Corps would not condone any form of misuse of power.
