Fathers Day: Archbishop Ibezim cautions fathers against stagnancy

…appreciates God for giving fathers patience to survive trying times

Archbishop of Niger Province and Bishop of Awka Diocese, Anambra State, Rt. Rev. Alexander Ibezim has cautioned fathers against stagnancy, charging them to be courageous and actionable.

The prelate who gave the advice during Father’s Sunday Service at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Awka, said God’s intention for them as pillars of the family was to progress in life and not to remain stagnant.

He expressed worry over increasing cases of deaths ocasioned by high blood pressure, depression and economic hardship.

He however appreciated God for giving fathers patience to survive trying times, particularly before, during and after the elections that led to a new government, urging them not to give up.

He said, “We thank God for giving the fathers the patience and endurance to survive the trying times. You know what the nation has passed through during the elections that led to a new government.

“God is still encouraging fathers through Prophet Joshua to arise and possess their possession. All the challenges and hardtimes are over. They should look towards the future with hope.

“I want the fathers to be courageous and actionable. You can’t be stagnant because stagnation can’t achieve anything. A stagnant family is a deprived family. Stagnancy is a satanic arrow. Be released from the shackles of stagnation.

“It’s unfortunate the way geople die like cockroach. Don’t die out of high blood pressure s you will reap the fruit of your labour.”
