Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has eulogized Master Favour Nwadinobi, student of Premium Breed Secondary School, Nnewichi Nnewi for emerging as one of the six finalists to represent Nigeria at the 2023 International Chemistry Olympiad in Switzerland, next month
Master Nwadinobi, overall best in Anambra, competed with students from over 600 schools to emerge as one of the finalists to represent the nation.
Congratulating the State’s torch bearer, Soludo expressed excitement that school children of the State have continually demonstrated that the vantage position education is placed in his administration has not been in vain.
He reiterated that his administration would continue to create the enabling environment to prepare Anambra children for global competitiveness.
Welcoming the team in her office at the State Secretariate Complex Awka, Commissioner of Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma- Udeh reassured government’s unwavering commitment to providing students of the state with every opportunity to excel academically at both the national and international levels.
She further commended Master Favour Nwadinobi and Premium Breed Secondary School for their outstanding performance, while emphasizing the importance of continued dedication and hard work.
She enjoined them not to rest on their oars as the State eagerly anticipates an outstanding performance at the Olympiad.
Education Secretary, Anglican Diocese of Nnewi, Ven Henry Nduka said the feat was a testament to the present administration’s commitment to nurturing and promoting academic excellence among its students.
Visibly elated Principal of the School, Canon Nwajide thanked the state government for providing an enabling atmosphere for education sector in the state, adding that at the state level of the competition, the school clinched the first three positions.
Earlier, Master Nwadinobi attributed his achievement to God, his teachers, and his dedication to his studies.
