Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has ordered owners of properties and shops on the right of way of the proposed awarded construction of Ekwulobia flyover to urgently dismantle the structures and evacuate their valuables for soon commencement of the bridge.
The governor, through a statement by Commissioner for Information, Paul Nwosu, titled, “Construction of Ekwulobia flyover to commence soon”, said such facilities would be affected to the extent of their encroachment on the road corridor.
He reminded those concerned that the decision was reached and agreed upon during the last stakeholders’ meeting.
The statement reads, “Ndi-Anambra, the construction of Ekwulobia flyover that Government of Anambra State awarded will soon commence in earnest.
“Government is informing those whose properties and shops are on the right of way of the flyover that their facilities will be affected to the extent of their encroachment on the road corridor.
‘Owners of such properties and shops are hereby advised to begin to dismantle their structures and evacuate their valuables immediately as agreed in the last stakeholders meeting.”
