Just In: Ten gunmen killed in Anambra

No fewer than ten gunmen have been allegedly killed by security operatives in Orsumoghu and Orsuihteukwa in Ihiala and Oru East Council Areas of Imo and Anambra States respectively.

The deceased were neutralized when Joint Task Force on Security JTF stormed some of the camps of the suspected gunmen in both communities.

Sources said the deceased might be part of gang members of a kinpin neutralized by security operatives three weeks ago with four of his members.

Contacted, Police spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga simply said, “there is no such report before me please.”

Meanwhile, Commissioner for Homeland Matters Chief Chikaodi Anaghara has urged public not to panic as security operatives have uncovered plot by suspected gunmen to commence operations in Awka, the state capital.

He said officers and men of the Joint Task Force have taken strategic positions to nip the hoodlums’activities on the board through its 24-hours operations.
