Anambra fire fighters bag fire service of the year award

Anambra State Fire Service has been awarded the 2023 fire service of the year award in recognition of her proactive roles in mitigating fire incidents in the State.

The State Fire Chief, Engr Martin Agbili who disclosed this in a statement, said the award was presented to the state during the just concluded Safety and Security Conference in Owerri, Imo State.

He said the event was organised by the Safety and Security Watch Organisation in her 10th Edition/Anniversary to mark the 2023 International Labour Organization (ILO) day of Safety and Health at Work.

The statement reads, “In the just concluded Safety and Security Conference in Owerri, IMO State, organised by the Safety and Security Watch Organisation in her 10th Edition/Anniversary to mark the 2023 ILO day of Safety and Health at Work, Anambra State Fire Service was awarded the FIRE SERVICE OF THE YEAR AWARD in recognition of the proactive roles of Anambra State Fire Service in mitigating Fire Incidents in the State.

“Our best may not be good enough but we are giving Ndi Anambra our best. When our approach to fire outbreaks is compared with those of other places in the country, one will still have reasons to say KUDOS to Anambra State Fire Service and Anambra Firefighters.

“This award is a motivation and encouragement to do more because to whom much is given much is also expected. Our promise is that we will continue to give Ndi Anambra our best as we continue to solicit for your support to make this possible.

“I want to use this medium to thank Mr. Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo for all the support his office is giving to Anambra State Fire Service so as to serve Ndi Anambra better.

“Thank you my Hon. Commissioner, Engr. Julius Chukwuemeka for all your support to the Anambra State Fire Service.

“Thank you also the general public for joining hands in nominating us for this all in one award.”
