Anambra’ll reclaim her center of excellence position in Education – Commissioner

…she expressed confidence that with the support of Principals, the state would reclaim her center of excellence position

Anambra State government has warned that school Principals in the State would be held responsible for any act or omission resulting in examination malpractice during the forthcoming West African Senior School Certificate Examination for in school candidates.

Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh gave the warning at St John of God Girls Secondary School during a briefing session for Principals, organized by State Branch office of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) in preparation of the 2023 examination.

She expressed confidence that Anambra State would reclaim her position as the center of excellence in Education with the support of Principals.

“Following poor performance of Supervisors that resulted to the flagging of some schools for examination malpractice, all the former supervisors that were nominated by principals in the previous examinations have been replaced by new ones.

Highpoint of the engagement was the undertaking by the Principals to support all efforts by Commissioner Chuma-Udeh’s to eradicate examination malpractice.
