Anambra APC crisis: Ejidike extends olive branch to opposition as court reaffirms his exco

Anambra State High Court sitting in Awka has reaffirmed the State executive of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Anambra State led by Chief Basil Ejidike.

The Judgementi of the Suit with Suit number A/69/2022 between Barr EMEKA Ibe v APC AND ORS JUDGMENT was delivered by Hon Justice Ike Ogu of High Court 1 of Awka.  

The court dismissed the Plaintiff suit for Lack of Jurisdiction and Merit in view of the recent Judgement of The Court of Appeal, Awka Division on the same subject matter. 

The court, presided by Justice Ike Ogu, affirmed the earlier judgement of the Court of Appeal. The Court held that Party affairs which include congresses is an internal affair of the Party.

Reacting to the judgement, The State Chairman of the party in Anambra State, Chief Basil Ejidike thanked God almighty for the victory, saying there is no winner and there is no loser. 

He described the development as family affair, just as he extended olive branch of reconciliation and fellowship to all Party Leaders, Stakeholders and Followers. 

He said, “I’m calling on opposing groups in the party to join me and give maximum support to the party.

“My greatest commitment as we march forward is to install APC Governor in Anambra State come 2025 Governorship Election in Anambra State.”

“What matters now is how to galvanize and move the party forward. In the coming days, we will roll out our strategic plan for the party starting with the report of 2023 General Election in Anambra State. 

“With the defeat of PDP in South East, you can see that the zone is now dominated by APC and others. And we are expecting some big wigs to join APC soonest. He concluded.”
