Anambra octogenarian insists on voting amidst frustrations 

“Even though I’ve been referred back to where I was rejected before, I won’t go home. I must vote today.” – Octogenarian

An 80-year old woman, Uzoegbo Zibbora on Saturday refused to give up on exercising her franchise after suffering twice frustrations in two separate polling units in Amawbia Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The octogenarian who was at her polling unit to cast her vote, told our correspondent that she was unable to vote in the last Presidential election due what she described as logistics challenges.

She said she decided to come out again to vote to ensure the right persons were voted into power to change the narratives.

According to the octogenarian “I was at my polling units in the last election but after checking for name, they said they couldn’t find it, and refered me to another center.

“Though the center I was referred to was close by, I couldn’t go there because it was already getting late. Besides, I had no one to take me.

“I insisted on coming out again to vote because I’m not happy with the way things are going in this country. Nothing is working. The right persons must assume leadership positions.

“Even though I’ve been referred back to where I was rejected before, I won’t go home. I must vote today.”
