ASMATA vows to deliver 30 Anambra Assembly seats to APGA

…as ASMATA boss laments sorry state of affairs

 Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders’ Association, (ASMATA) has vowed to deliver the 30 seats in the Anambra State House of Assembly, to All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidates during the March 11 gubernatorial/House of Assembly elections.

President General, Chief Humphrey Anuna gave the assurance in a letter to the APGA State chairman, Chief Norbert Obi during a meeting of over 100 market executive members, held at the ASMATA secretariat, along Modebe road, Onitsha. 

In the letter, also endorsed by comrade Peter Okala, of the ASMATA Peace and Conflict Resolution Committee, the association vowed to deliver APGA candidates following Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s demonstration of competence, capacity and capability in putting the State in the steady path of progress within the short period under review.

The PG thanked the market leaders for showing appreciation to the Governor and his team and demanded that they take ownership of the party and employ the same enthusiasm which makes it to come first in their respective markets to make APGA achieve the unimaginable victory for Ndi Anambra.

He insisted that as owners of the party and stakeholders, it is expedient and Imperative that they work as a team to sweep the 30 constituency seats in favor of the ruling party (APGA), that has done so much for the people in the State.

The ASMATA boss lamented the sorry state of affairs that prompted APGA to rise up to the challenges by picking people who rehabilitated the infrastructure, work force, environment, health, education, security, trade and commerce to their enviable status.

“Our roads have so much been decongested to the extent that movements accross the entire State now happen with ease, traveling from Onitsha to Awka which was previously a nightmare at Building Materials market Ogidi axis, has been a forgotten experience because the ‘Solution’ is here.

“Access roads as one of the most economic aspects, are now in place which traders are one of the critical beneficiaries. The ‘One Youth Two Skills’, entrepreneurship initiatives, by the Ministry of Youths Empowerment, which is on going in our various communities, is another formidable foundation towards our anticipated industralizaton from this ‘Solution’ Government.

“Ndi Anambra, both indegenes and non indegenes should approach the up coming House of Assembly election with every sense of responsibility in order to give back to the Government that has brought ‘Solution’ to virtually all the segments of our economic life.

“A vote for APGA in the up coming House of Assembly election is a Vote for posterity,” Chief Anuna pleaded.

Highlight of the meeting was distribution of ASMATA campaign and election materials and fliers.
