…Obi’s LP secured highest votes in all the LGAs including Aguata and Anambra East Local where Soludo and respectively hail from
The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr Peter Obi has won in the 16 out of the 21 local government areas of Anambra State so far announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to the results announced by Collation Officer and Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Prof. Nnenna Oti, Obi’s LP secured highest votes in all the LGAs including Aguata and Anambra East Local Government Areas where Governor Chukwuma Soludo and former Governor Willie Obiano respectively hail from.
Other local government areas their results have been announced were Orumba South, Ayamelum, Dunukofia, Njikoka, Ekwusigo, Anaocha, Awka North and South, Anambra West, Aguata, Nnewi South, Oyi, Ihiala and Onitsha North and South.
While LP polled a total of 20755 votes in Anambra East, the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) secured 489 votes.
In Soludo’s Aguata LGA, LP scored 37478, while APGA, which Soludo is the leader, got 712.
