Landikotal resident kidnapped in Sindhi safely released

…The 34 year old was kidnapped a month ago in Kashmor locality where he went to purchase a truck

LANDIKOTAL: The Landikotal resident who was kidnapped by daopits in Kashmor district of Sindh for ransome released and safely reached to home in Khyber Sultankhel on Wednesday.

Imran Khan Afridi,34,was made hostage by dacoits a month ago in Kashmor locality when he was there to purchase a truck. Kidnappers allegedly killed another person with him on the first day and uploaded Imran’s video demanding for ransome. Imran was seen crying his family to pay ransome otherwise the dacoits could also kill him.

After the video uploaded on social media protests sparked in Karachi and district Khyber for several days. 

Former federal minister Dr, Noorul Haq Qadri, former senator Taj Muhammad Afridi and ex-parliamentarian and Tehreek-e-Islahat Pakistan chairman Alhaj Shajee Gul Afridi took up the matter with federal and Sindh governments. 

Kashmor police released Imran Afridi from the kidnappers and handed over him to relatives. 

Talking to journalists here in Landikotal Imran Afridi thanked ex-senator Taj Muhammad Afridi for his efforts that made possible his release. He said he was alive just because of the intervention of ex-parliamentarians and political parties leaders who raised voice for him.
