…says the 2023 Presidential election would be between PDP’s Atiku and LP’s Obi
Ward chairman, All Progressive Congress, APC, in Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State, Mr. Chuks Wazo on Monday said the 2023 Presidential election would be between candidates of Peoples Democratic party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and that of Mr. Peter Obi of Labour Party, LP.
He said the All Progressive Congress, APC flag-bearer, Asiwaju Tinubu is weak healthwise while his running mate, Kashim Shettima, is not wanted by Nigerians following his alleged involvement in Islamisation agenda.
Wazo stated this while fielding questions from newsmen.
He said, “The game now is that North wants Atiku because he is a full fledged Fulani man. So they are working for Atiku and if it fails, it is Peter Obi that will succeed President Buhari.
“They don’t want Shettima. So if we don’t work hard as Igbo, Atiku is the next President, North is working hard for Atiku.
“Labour Party is a mass movement party and everybody wants change of the leadership, and the change is for Obi to take over, so Obi and everybody should work hard, thank God with the electronic voting system that will be difficult to manipulate, it is plus for Obi and Labour Party,” he hinted.
Wazo, former ward chairman, All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, said he had to dump the party for APC following the party’s refused to conduct primary election in the party.
He said, “I was former Governor Willie Obiano’s (APGA), ward chairman in Aguleri, but I left the party when the party refused to conduct primary election because Hon. Chykwuma Umeoji, would beat Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, in the primary. I decamped to All Progressive Congress, APC where I am presently the APC ward chairman.
“I told Obiano that I was leaving because Soludo is a typical PDP man but he refused to listen and you can now believe me that all his (Soludo), actions, inactons and words are geared towards PDP. I wanted Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji to be the Governor but APGA refused to conduct primary election and picked Soludo, that was why I left APGA for APC.
” If you look at those appointees in the transition committee of Governor Soludo, you will find out that most of the members were PDP. Senator Victor Umeh, was No.1 in APGA register, but they schemed him out and now he is in LP, the mass movement party.”
