Two persons were hospitalized on Monday following an accident that occurred at Lagos Park, Onitsha in Anambra State.
The lone accident involved a Mercedes Benz Lorry with registration number UKP 761 XA driven by one Mr Ogubike Sunday Chukwudi.
Sector Public Education Officer of the
Federal Road Safety Corps in Anambra, Edor Florence in a statement made available to FOX CHANNEL said a total of four male adults were on board the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Florence said two male adults sustained varying degree of injury and was rushed to St John Hospital at Upper Iweka, by FRSC rescue team from the Upper Iweka Outpost.
An eyewitness said the Lorry driver lost control of the vehicle while on top speed which led to the crash.
The FRSC Sector Commander in the state, CC Andrew A Kumapayi FHNR while wishing the injured accelerated recovery, warned motorist to avoid speeding which can lead to serious traffic crash, he further advised drivers to watch their speed and not their watch. Speed trills but kills, he said.
