Ondo State House of Assembly lawmakers have asked the state’s Deputy Governor, Hon. Agboola Ajayi, to take advantage of his much touted majority in the assembly to remove the Speaker, Hon Bamidele Oleyelogun, The Nation reports.
This was prompted by the call that the Speaker should resign or be sacked, made by the Deputy Governor.
The chairman, House Committee on Information, Akogun Olugbenga Omole, accused Ajayi of making unsubstantiated claims.
Hon. Omole mocked Ajayi for bragging to have control of majority of the lawmakers.
He noted, “The Speaker will not be removed. He said he has majority lawmakers. Let him use the majority to remove the Speaker.”
