The court of Appeal in Abuja has upheld the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
On Tuesday June 16 2020, a 3-man panel led by the President of the court of appeal, Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem announced that that Oshiomole’s appeal to his suspension is ‘Unmeritorious’. The judgement is coming a few hours after Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Philip Shuaibu resigned from the party.
It would be recalled that an FCT high court granted an application filed by some members of the Edo state APC suspending Oshiomhole from office on March 4th.
The suspended chairman had masterminded the disqualification Obaseki from contesting the party’s primaries by a screening committee over discrepancies in his HSC and NYSC certificate.
